Yes, I know, yet another drawing of my hand. It's a slightly different angle this time.
I used a graphite pencil to shade the whole of the page before drawing my hand. I also used a 2HB pencil and lots of shading.
Am pretty pleased with the result.

Bloody brilliant! Congratulations on this one. I don't think I could do a lot better, I definitely couldn't have when I was at the stage you are at. That must be some book, or else it is a natural talent. The only criticism I have is that the wrist is a little out of proportion, apart from that brilliant, the texture the shading, everything!
